- 2026, I received a full pardon from the Governor of The State of Wisconsin, marking a deeply meaningful moment of restoration, redemption, and a new chapter defined by freedom, perseverance, and hope.
Education
- Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University, gaining a strong foundation in social justice and systemic change. This achievement marked a defining milestone in my journey from survivor to change-maker and advocate for freedom.
Professional Licensure Requirement
- Pioneered efforts to integrate human trafficking training into professional licensure requirements, helping establish a standard that strengthens healthcare professionals’ ability to identify, respond to, and support trafficking survivors.
National HUD Policy
- Pioneered efforts to expand housing access for survivors of human trafficking, presenting before the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and advancing survivor housing protections from statewide guidance to national policy.
Board Participation
- Representative of survivors as a board member of the State of Michigan Human Trafficking Health Advisory Board, contributing to policy efforts addressing human trafficking. My service on boards and committees with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority and Child Protective Services Protocol reflects my commitment to advancing systemic change and strengthening support for individuals impacted by trauma.
Community Outreach
- As a recognized leader in human trafficking prevention and survivor advocacy. I have trained more than 10,000 professionals, students, and community members. Utilizing my expertise, I advance education, prevention, early identification, and policy while empowering individuals and communities to recognize human trafficking.

- My work has been recognized with the Rising Phoenix Award, a Challenge Coin from the City of Dowagiac Police Department, and the 2025 Sacred Beginnings Harriet Tubman Survivor of the Year Award, honoring my perseverance, advocacy, and commitment to safer communities.
